Getting Started Classes
For those newly diagnosed with diabetes. We review the basics of diabetes to help you 'get started' in living with diabetes. Getting Started Classes are offered as two 3 hour classes (Class "A" and Class "B"). People are advised to attend both classes.
These classes are available at all 5 Provincial Diabetes Program Sites.

Storm policy:
If the schools within your program site are closed or delayed in opening, any diabetes classes scheduled for that day will be cancelled and rescheduled. (i.e. If the Eastern school district is cancelled or delayed, the Charlottetown and Montague program classes are cancelled. If the Western school district is cancelled or delayed, the Summerside and O'Leary program classes are cancelled.)
